ABOUT
Hey y'all, I'm Molly Womack (they/she)
I'm a queer neurodivergent project level designer with a unique perspective and my finger on the pulse of trends and culture. My broad range of skills spans many categories. I can be placed on any brand and lead design confidently.
My experience spans 8+ years in the toy industry. I began my toy journey at Otis and then interned for Tomy and Moose in Australia. After returning to the USA I chased my childhood dreams and created over 200 toys for Pokemon. After my time as a designer for Pokemon I turned my focus to another life long passion, Dolls and Collectibles, at Spin Master. During these past 4 years at Spin I've cultivated my conceptual skills working on blue sky projects, licensing pitches, and innovation within the categories.
In addition to my experience in toy design, I've spent many years in roles mentoring toy students and interns as they begin their careers. I aim to provide new designers with the insight and skills I wish I'd had when I got started in the industry so they can make the best decisions for their specific careers.
I aspire to continue dismantling the boys clubs that the toy industry has been built on. I believe that toys help shape the culture of tomorrow and the decisions we make at the designer level matter.
Check out my portfolio and shoot me a message if you would like to chat!

It's an honor to be one of three key designers on the Pokemon plastics team and have helped developed over 100+ products for the line, from action figures to role play, feature plush and more. I have worked closely with internal teams, overseas manufacturers, vendors, and the licensor to build a successful and vibrant product line. My involvement in the design process has extended from the early stages of blue sky ideation all the way to final product and running changes. We work to continuously bring innovation to the line each year while also selecting new stand out characters and old fan favorites to construct a line architecture that keeps trainers excited for more. My position as a designer on this small team has also allowed me to step up as a leader and mentor to train and manage nearly a dozen different interns, freelancers, and temp designers.
MOOSE TOYS INTERNSHIP
6/16-12/16
My role at Moose began as a design intern working to gain experience in both product design and illustration but transitioned to that of a key member of the Pikmi Pops design team. During my six months at Moose I had the pleasure of working on brands such as Shopkins, Shoppies, Betty Spaghetti, Beados, and a few other up and coming brands for Moose. I was most heavily involved in the successful collectible scented plush line, Pikmi Pops in 2018. On this brand I worked with the lead illustrator to create over 40 new characters and dozens of graphic patterns for the line. I also worked with the brand's lead product designer to execute manufacturing specifications for the product line.
